Leysin

Leysin is a sunny alpine village 1300 metres above sea level on a south facing natural balcony in the Swiss Alps. The village has easy access by road and rail from Geneva airport. The rail journey runs to Aigle and then transfers to a rack and pinion railway that climbs up the steep mountain side from the Rhone Valley. The village has many summer activities including a telecabine to the top of the Berneuse (2048 metre), with stunning views of the Rhone Valley, Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, which can all be viewed from the Kuklos panoramique restaurant which rotates through 360° whilst you eat.

There is also an active night life with a good selection of restaurants and bars. English is widely used in the village.
