Although Leysin is a small alpine village it has a good selection of restaurants, varying from traditional Swiss cuisine, Italian and French cooking and even a Chinese restaurant. There are also five mountain restaurants open in the summer season, ideal for all who enjoy walking in the Alps.
The Fromagerie is a favourite place to eat and boasts a wide variety of fondues as well as other house favourites. They make cheese in the restaurant on a daily basis for the diners to watch the cheese making process. It also houses a museum that delves into the history of the village.
There are a handful of bars in the village all offering different atmoshperes, some of which also offer good food.
In the region there are many good restaurants all easily accessible by road or rail including a Michelin Star restaurant in the village of Yvorne.
